Not So Sweet Sweetshrub

Rich red wine colored strap-like petals lazily open exposing the center for pollinators.  You’d be incorrect if you thought the flower was so sweet that they named the plant sweetshrub.  Some of the species do have fragrant flowers, but this sweet comes from a sweet citrus aroma emanating from the bark when gently bruised.  Check out the unique shiplap frame which provides a rugged yet elegant display for your home or office.
